Welcome to the home of
Remarkable Theater Brigade!
Remarkable Theater Brigade (RTB) creates and produces new music productions including orchestral, opera, ballet, musicals and Electroacoustic works. RTB boasts an impressive roster of professional musicians and actors including conductor Steven Crawford from the Metropolitan Opera, Wayne Hobbs from La Scala, Chris Trakas from the Metropolitan Opera, Julia Amisano from the Edinburgh Shakespeare Festival.
The co-founders Monica Harte, Dan Jeselsohn and Christian McLeer have worked together for 6 years building the company and its diverse production history. McLeer’s musical productions are the center of the company’s work. Last season, RTB began to branch out and grow. We have been producing works by other composers in the Composer’s Voice Concert Series, which we present in conjunction with Vox Novus and Jan Hus Church, all year. Also, RTB produced its first full-length production by another composer, Glory Denied by Tom Cipullo. Glory Denied, conducted by Steven Crawford & starring Chris Trakas, sold out both nights... the performances received standing ovations
Next season marks a return of G Train The Musical. Please join us for our fundraiser in September so we can take this show back on the road to special-needs and at-risk children for free. This show with its 5 zany characters is hilarious & will leave you crying you’ll be laughing so hard! The show received rave reviews at the Natchez Festival of Music in April 2008.
In the fall of 2009, we will present 10-minute operas at Weill-Carnegie Hall with Harte, Jeselsohn and McLeer all performing together again. Some of the composers to be presented include, Rob Voisey, Anne Phillips, Tom Cipullo, Douglas Cohen, George Brunner, Seymour Barab, Patrick Soluri and of course, Christian McLeer. |
