Monica Harte, General Director, performed in concert for Kansas University, the Natchez Festival of Music, and in New York City for the Composer's Voice Series, The Bechstein Center and The Intermedia Arts Group. She also performed the role of Young Alyce in RTB’s professional premiere of Tom Cipullo's opera Glory Denied, and Ariel in Electronic Music New York's Electroacoustic drama, The Tempest Project. Monica can be heard singing the soprano solos on RTB’s 2007 CD release of McLeer’s Requiem and is the featured soloist on the CD Songs from Another Place, a collection of American chamber works by George Brunner, Bern Herbolsheimer and Morris Lang. She is also the soprano soloist for the CD Long Island Songs, music by Tom Cipullo, Anne Phillips, George Brunner, and Christian McLeer, both scheduled for release in 2008 on MSR Classics Record Label. She recently recorded David Buddin's Fabric of this Vision and McLeer's Ariel's World on The Tempest Project CD to be released by POGUS Productions and Robert Voisey's song cycle, Music in Motion, for his upcoming CD, Starlings. She is scheduled to record Cipullo's songs based on texts by Elizabeth Ellis Hurwitt, for his soon to be released CD this fall. In addition to her singing engagements, Monica will continue to produce RTB’s off-Broadway productions, co-produce the Composer’s Voice Concert Series, and teach. Touted internationally as a consummate artist and an unusually endearing performer, by La Nouvelle Republique & Centre Presse, she has performed numerous concerts in France and Spain and more than 25 coloratura standard and contemporary roles in the US. |
