Each Young Artist participated in 3 performances during the Young Artist Program. Our tour of HOUSE to special-needs and at-risk children was enhanced by our new relationship with Columbia Children’s Hospital. Opera Tonight featured the most popular scenes from the most popular operas. Director, Olga Shyp staged this concert of everyone’s favorite opera.
	Jonathan Levin took the audience on An International Tour Through Art Songs featuring the music of composers from all over the world. His witty commentary and outstanding accompanying made the evening perfect.
	New Waves of Electroacoustic Music was a new experience for most of our young artists. Staged by Monica and performed at Jimmy’s 43 in Greenwich Village, this production of electroacoustic dramas included scenes from some of Christian’s ever-popular G Train The Musical.
	All Sondheim was just that! Chas Elliott staged and accompanied this concert, giving our young artists the opportunity to “cross-over” into the musical theater genre.
	The YAP Faculty Concert gave our faculty members an opportunity to show their stuff. Performing contemporary and standard repertoire, we presented a versatile and varied concert for everyone’s enjoyment.
	This year’s Young Artist program will be centered around the performances of Christian’s 3 children’s operas.  We will give advanced young artists with substantial performance experience an opportunity to perform in G Train The Musical, HOUSE and SHOT for the multiple-camera shoot at the Brooklyn College Television Studios. This version of HOUSE was a big hit. We had 8 performances for special needs and at-risk children plus an evening performance for our general audience.

Concerts included a Lieder Concert, a standard rep Opera Scenes Concert, a staged electroacoustic concert, a Sondheim concert and a children’s opera, which went on tour in NYC to special-needs and at-risk children.
